About
Neela Moadab M.D.
Growing up with atopic dermatitis in a rural area with limited access to specialized medical care, I experienced firsthand what it means to live with a chronic skin condition, navigating the daily struggles, social stigmas, and systemic challenges that come with it. This personal journey deeply informs my clinical empathy and dedication to patient-centered care.
I am a physician with a strong clinical and research interest in the intersection of rheumatology and dermatology. Skin findings often serve as the first visible sign of systemic autoimmune disease.
My primary areas of clinical interest include complex medical dermatology, specifically where cutaneous manifestations overlap with autoimmune, metabolic, and medication-related conditions.

Clinical interests
- Complex medical dermatology
- Autoimmune & connective tissue disease
- Inflammatory skin disease (psoriasis, eczema, hidradenitis)
- Cutaneous drug reactions
- Skin cancer screening & prevention
- Dermatology in hospitalized patients
